Snake is a symbol of transformation and Healing.
Snake ceremonies involved learning to transmute the poisons within the body after being bitten multiple times. Survival of this would then enable the individual to transmute all poisons-physical or otherwise. It activated the energy of kill or cure, ultimately leading to dramatic healings.
Snake is depicted as the feathered flying symbol of Quetzalcoatl. The Great Being who was said that the heavens and stars and all motions of the universe were under his dominion. “He was the Master of the winds and of the clouds and the protecting of genius of his People”.
Snake is the symbol of alchemy and Healing. Hermes carried a staff upon which were entwined two snakes (caduceus). Its symbol was of wisdom expressed through Healing.
Snake is symbol of the sexual/creation life force. The Kundalini or Serpent Fire lies coiled at the base of the spine. As we grow and develop, the primal energy is released, rising up the spine activating the energy centers (Chakras) opening new dimensions and levels of awareness, health and creativity.
Snake Medicine people are those who learn to imitate snake and move between the realms of life and death for healing and enlightenment.
Anytime snake shows up you can expect death and rebirth to occur in some area of your life. Not reflecting actual death usually but rather a transition and change in conditions and movement to new life.
Snake brings more energy to awareness and Spiritually and stimulates greater perceptions of how to apply your insight and intuition. Your own vision and intuition will become more accurate.
